What is a mole evaluation?

Mole evaluation, also known as a mole check, is performed by our board-certified  dermatologists. It involves a full skin examination, from scalp to toes, examining the skin for suspicious lesions, and moles that may need to be biopsied. It is important to have regular mole checks as it can lead to early detection of potential skin cancers, especially  melanoma.

What is mole removal?

Mole removal, also known as a biopsy, is the surgical removal of a suspicious lesion. The removed tissue is sent to a laboratory for microscopic analysis to determine if it is cancerous or not. This procedure is a standard and safe procedure, performed with local anesthesia. Our dermatologists, with many years of experience, have a trained eye to detect lesions that need to be biopsied.
