Medical AssistantQualifications:
- 2+ years experience in the healthcare field. (Dermatology experience is a plus)
- Knowledge of medical diagnoses and skin care terminology
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR, Prior Nextech experience is a plus)
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with multiple members of the medical team.
Job Description:
- Recording and updating patient medical histories into the electronic record
- Assisting physicians with patient care, including scribing during medical exams, assisting with procedures, and subsequent patient education.
- Rooming patients and preparing them for medical exams and medical procedures
- Turnover and stocking of rooms
- Transmitting electronic prescriptions and refills
- Answering patient phone calls as needed
- Phlebotomy/ Blood draw as needed
